We are pleased to invite interested professionals such as academics, higher education students, practitioners, and decision makers across the African Continent and beyond to submit papers for the Africa Conference on Economic Costs of Disasters: The Role of the Private Sector in Disaster Risk Reduction 2017.
The conference, which is being hosted by the *Gauteng Province Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) and the Gauteng Provincial Disaster Management Centre (PMDC) together with Gravitazz Institute for Disaster Reduction and Emergency Management, will be held on 23-25th October, 2017 in Johannesburg, South Africa.*

Full abstracts (300 words) should be prepared following the template provided in the call for papers. Each abstract will be blind reviewed by members of the ACECD 2017 SteeringCommittee
